Ticketmaster Breach Data Posted on New BreachForums
The ‘ShinyHunters’ threat actor group posted data from a Ticketmaster data breach, potentially belonging to 560M users, asking for $500K in exchange for the data.
Analysts at Vx-Underground analyzed a sample of the Ticketmaster data and determined that the data was authentic, containing entries dating back to 2011.
OpenAI Disrupts GenAI Disinformation Campaigns
On Thursday, May 30th, OpenAI disclosed that it’s cutting off five influence operations (IO) from China, Iran, Israel, and Russia that appeared to abuse its AI tools for propaganda campaigns.
These campaigns were detected within the past three months and used AI models to generate comments, articles and produced fake social media accounts. OpenAI also stated that the IO campaigns didn’t ‘meaningfully increase their audience engagement or reach’.
Santander Bank Breach Affects Customers in Spain, Chile, and Uruguay
In another breach claimed by the ‘ShinyHunters’ threat actor group, the Santander Bank breach could affect the personal data of its millions of customers based in Spain, Chile, and Uruguay.
Santander Bank customers are advised to monitor their accounts closely and be alert for suspicious activity. Additionally, they are advised to enable two-factor authentication for their bank accounts.
