According to a Broadcom report, a banking trojan named “Cerberus” pretending to be a Google Chrome update has successfully distributed to numerous systems.

Affecting only Android users, the Cerberus malware allows attackers to completely control affected systems through its complex remote access capabilities.

The US Department of Defense (DoD)’s vulnerability disclosure program (VDP) has processed over 50,000 vulnerabilities since its launch in 2016.

Stemming from the successful ‘Hack the Pentagon’ hackathon in 2016, the pioneering VDP allows the automation of the tracking, reporting, and processing of all the reported vulnerabilities.
