American Express released a notification to its customers, informing them of a third-party data breach, placing 'some' customer information at risk. Despite the breach, American Express ensured that its systems remain secure, is taking measures to address the issue, and will constantly monitor the integrity of its accounts for fraudulent activity.
According to Chainalysis, the estimated total value received by ransomware attackers reached $1.1B in 2023. The Chainalysis report also states that the estimated $1.1B only pertains to ransomware demands collected, and does not account for operational and third-party disruption costs.

The hidden malware "NS-STEALER" when deployed onto a user's system, can automatically collect screenshots, cookies, credentials, autofill data, and system information from web browsers.
The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) signed a Working Agreement with Ukraine’s Administration of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP) to boost cybersecurity efforts. A new phishing attack campaign using DarkGate Loader malware has been identified, with Microsoft Teams users being urged to exercise caution. This malware is specifically a 'loader malware' meaning that it is able to download and execute other malware programs on the infected device. The additional malware then downloads in the infected device's memory structure, making it hard to detect since it isn't in the device's file system.
