Ireland’s Health Service Industry Exposed Millions of Patient Data in 2021
According to AppOmni, Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) accidentally exposed millions of Irish patient data in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The patient data most notably included the vaccine status and vaccination type received. The data leak was caused by a misconfiguration in the HSE portal, which made internal documents publicly available.
