Europol released a statement directed to European law enforcement agencies to prepare for the impact quantum computing will have on the cybersecurity ecosystem.

This warning is based on Europol’s latest report, “The Second Quantum Revolution: The Impact of Quantum Computing and Quantum Technologies on Law Enforcement” which dives into the threats and opportunities of quantum computing to threat actors.

Cisco Links “YoroTrooper” Espionage Group to Kazakhstan

Researchers from Cisco’s Talos have released a report that reveals the advanced persistent threat (APT) actor group “YoroTrooper” to be primarily based in Kazakhstan based on the currency used.

So far, the relatively new threat actor group has attacked one anti-corruption agency in Kazakhstan

“Tortoiseshell” Threat Actors Launch IMAPLoader Malware

Iran-based threat actor group “Tortoiseshell” has been attributed to ‘watering hole’ attacks designed to deploy IMAPLoader malware, reports PwC Threat Intelligence.

The malware developed by the group is said to use email as a control channel to execute malware payloads from email attachments.
