In a press release published on December 4th, IBM Consulting and Palo Alto Networks announced the expansion of their strategic cybersecurity partnership.

The partnership between both firms aims to strengthen their end-to-end security postures and navigate evolving security threats, which they intend to offer to their combined customer base.

The NCSC Launches Cyber Incident Exercising Scheme

The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) launched the Cyber Incident Exercising Scheme, enabling UK organizations access to certified cybersecurity exercising providers.

The scheme aims to strengthen organizational cybersecurity incident responses in the UK, making sure individual organizations have structurally sound incident response plans in place.

Convicted Russian Pleads Guilty to Ransomware Attacks

The Department of Justice announced that the Russian national behind the malware tool Trickbot, used to launch ransomware attacks on American hospitals, pleaded guilty to his role in the malware tool’s development. 

Trickbot was used to facilitate ransomware attacks on a string of American hospitals and health systems, disrupting care delivery and risking patient safety.
