97% of Consumers Predict More Cyberattacks – November 15th

97% of Consumers Predict More Cyberattacks

ThreatX revealed in their latest research that 97% of consumers expect more cyberattacks this coming year.

The ThreatX research also indicates that 69% of consumers predict these cyberattacks to become more complex, while only 13% believe they will be protected from cyberattacks.

The UK Warns of AI Tools Posing Threats to Elections

The UK’s National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) issued a statement, warning government agencies in the country of threats to elections posed by AI tools, and ‘deepfake’ technology.

The NCSC explained that their cyber-warning for elections is an accumulation of harder-to-track AI technology, and geopolitical tensions, which may result in heightened election-related cyber espionage campaigns.

82% of Attacks Target Removal of Telemetry Data

Sophos released a report that states that 82% of attacks aim to disable or erase telemetry data, also known as data logs, to delay the response after carried out attacks.

Sophos has based this data on 232 tracked incident response cases across 25 sectors, spanning from January 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.
