US fleet management systems impacted by ransomware attack
ORBCOMM, the US trucking and fleet management software provider, has linked recent service outages across freight transportation firms throughout the US to a ransomware attack.
These outages prevented the Blue Tree Electronic Logging Device usage and inventory tracking capabilities of the fleet management software. Investigations continue into the identity of the threat actors.

The hackers who breached Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts International are continuing in their hacking spree – having recently broken into three other companies in the retail, manufacturing, and technology markets. Reports say that MGM and Caesars have lost market value as stock prices have fallen as a direct result of the hacker violations.

Three recent attacks targeting Canadian company eSentire have confirmed the LockBit ransomware group is now using remote monitoring and management (RMM) software to establish a foothold in targeted computer systems. According to reports, this new strategy is enabling the threat actors to get valid credentials and then use these legitimate credentials to access systems.
