Wordfence revealed a vulnerability in a WordPress plugin “Backup Migration”, leaving its 90,000 user sites vulnerable.
Labeled as “CVE-2023-6553” with a high-severity score of 9.8, the Backup Migration vulnerability allows threat actors to exploit the bug by injecting arbitrary PHP code, resulting in a full-site compromise.
