Two Individuals Linked to “Hive RAT” Arrested – April 16th

US Supreme Court Ruling Hints on Cyber Disclosure Changes

Based on the recently concluded “Macquarie Infrastructure versus Moab Partners’ case” hints at further changes to the SEC cyber attack disclosure laws.

The case gave enterprises the green light not to report incidents that are not material, to focus on cyber incidents already taking place, and to place less importance on impending risks.

Two Individuals Linked to “Hive RAT” Arrested

The U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) announced the arrest of two individuals in Australia for their ties to the “Hive RAT” remote access trojan (RAT).

The two arrested individuals are suspected of being behind the distribution of the RAT, as found on the ‘Hack Forums’ cybercrime forum.

BreachForums Taken Down by Hackers

The Cybernews research team disclosed that the “R00TK1T” and “Cyber Army of Russia” threat actor groups announced on Telegram that they had taken down the BreachForums cybercrime marketplace.

The groups also threatened to release the full list of the marketplace’s users. However, the marketplace is still accessible through a TOR mirror.
