Ransomware Attacks Double Over Past Two Years
Akamai Technologies found that organizations faced an average of 86 ransomware attacks in the past 12 months, based on their latest report “The State of Segmentation 2023”. In comparison, organizations only faced 43 annual attacks two years ago.
The 1,200 IT and security professionals who participated in the Akamai Technology survey stated that lack of expertise, increased performance bottlenecks, and compliance requirements are some of the top obstacles in establishing the right tools to safeguard their organizations’ assets.

Iris found that 84% of Americans say that past data breaches impacted their willingness to shop with a specific retailer.
The consumer insights found were part of Iris’ “Holiday Shopping ID Theft” annual survey, where 1,009 Americans participated to learn more about cybersecurity and shopping habits over the holiday season.
Over 80% of Network Traffic has Outdated Cryptographic Protocols
Quantum Xchange found that 80% of network traffic has vulnerable flaws in its encryption after examining 200 terabytes of network traffic.
The examination of the network traffic also revealed that 61% of the traffic was unencrypted. Quantum Xchange stated that these cryptography vulnerabilities will have to be addressed due to the coming age of quantum computing.
