New DarkGate malware triggered through a bogus PDF file
Researchers have reported a new malware variant, called DarkGate, spreading through messenger services under the guise of a PDF file. When the PDF is downloaded, it triggers the AutoIt script which is used to launch the destructive malware.
The main platforms targeted by DarkGate include Skype and Microsoft Teams.
