Q1 2024 Ransomware Attacks See 22% Drop

The ‘Q1 Ransomware Report’ credits the decrease in ransomware attacks to a major uptick in law enforcement crackdowns on cyber criminal gangs, with notable major actions against LockBit and ALPHV.
90% of Cyber Attacks Exploited Remote Desktop Protocol in 2023
According to a Sophos report, Report Desktop Protocols (RDP) were exploited in 90% of cyber attacks in 2023.
Based on analyzing attacks in 26 sectors from 23 countries, the Sophos report also disclosed that Windows systems were the primary source of incidents, encompassing 65% of attacks.

The CVS Group announced on the London Stock Exchange’s website that it was hit by a cyber attack, which put customer information at risk.
