Newsquest Media Group Discloses Cyberattack
The UK’s Newsquest Media Group reported a cyberattack that disrupted the company’s websites and apps to the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) on Monday, December 11th.
The UK media company with over 250 local news sites’ stated that the series of Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks disrupted the reading experience of an estimated 48 million monthly readers.
New Threat Actor Group Stealing Data from APAC Companies
Launched in September, threat actor group GambleForce targeted 24 organizations across the APAC region, reports Group-IB.
GambleForce uses SQL injections and exploits vulnerabilities in the content management systems (CMS) of APAC organizations in the gambling, government, retail, and travel industries, to steal sensitive company data.
