AI, Gaming, and Fintech Are Top Cyber Threat Sectors for Kids
According to a report by Kaspersky, the rising use of Fintech, followed by AI and gaming poses serious cybersecurity threats for children online.
The report highlighted AI’s growing use among children, which exposes them to inappropriate content. The report also delves into unmoderated features in gaming, which may lead to data extraction, as well as the fintech industry’s financial threats to its younger, unmoderated users.
CISA Issues Guide for Chinese-Made Unmanned Aircraft Systems
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released an official guide for Chinese-made Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to reduce the risk of sensitive information leaking to the Chinese government.
The guide stems from laws enacted by The People’s Republic of China (PRC) on the government’s legal grounds to access data controlled by Chinese firms. The CISA guide aims to proactively prevent the data leakage of US national security information with UAS devices being used by critical infrastructure sectors.
JP Morgan Chase Combats 45 Billion Cyber Attacks Daily
On Wednesday, January 17th, JPMorgan Chase’s asset and wealth management division head, Mary Callahan Erdoes, said during the World Economic Forum in Davos that the firm faces a staggering 45 billion breach attempts daily.
Mary explained on a panel session that they have more security engineers than Google and Amazon, out of necessity, as threat actors increasingly get “smarter, savvier, quicker, more devious and mischievous.”
