Japan Pushes Proactive Cyber Laws 

Japan Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba implements a new cybersecurity defense law ahead of national elections to take proactive measures against cyber threats. The legislation allows the government to monitor online communications and requires private companies to report cyberattacks. 

 

Indonesia’s Decentralized Cyber Strategy

Indonesia has established eight regional Cyber Crime Directorates to improve its cybersecurity response by decentralizing governance, aimed at addressing local cyber threats more effectively. However, concerns remain about the availability of resources and the need for trained personnel to support these initiatives.

 

US Senate Introduces Healthcare Cybersecurity Act

The US House and Senate introduced the Healthcare Cybersecurity Act of 2025, aiming to bolster protections for healthcare organizations against cyber threats by mandating enhanced security frameworks.
