Critical vulnerability exploited by FIN8 threat actors
Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway are vulnerable to opportunistic attacks by a ransomware group that cyber experts have linked to the FIN8 threat actors. A critical vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary attacks on affected systems and has been given a 9.8 out of 10 CVE rating.

This incident follows hot on the heels of a recent high-profile meeting with K-12 school administrators and White House delegates concerning the need to protect schools against malicious ransomware and cyber attacks.
FBI nails Qakbot offender
The FBI, in collaboration with the Justice Department, has taken down the notorious hacking network Qakbot in one of the largest US-led disruptions of a botnet infrastructure used by cybercriminals. The network reportedly used 700,000 computers worldwide to steal hundreds of millions from unsuspecting targets. This was done through ransomware and financial fraud attacks.
