Facebook’s “Project Ghostbusters” Discovered to Spy on Snapchat Traffic

A federal court in California earlier this week released documents that revealed Facebook’s 2016 “Project Ghostbusters” campaign. The campaign was designed to mine Snapchat user data to understand their behavior better.

The project was a part of Facebook’s In-App Action Panel (IAPP) program, which used techniques to intercept and decrypt encrypted app traffic from Snapchat and, later, from YouTube and Amazon.

Only 3% of Organizations are Prepared for Cyberthreats

According to a new Cisco report, only 3% of organizations globally have a ‘mature’ level of readiness needed for modern cybersecurity risks.

The report, “The 2024 Cisco Cybersecurity Readiness Index,” was based on a survey of more than 8,000 private security and business leaders in 30 countries worldwide

Fortinet FortiClient EMS SQL Injection Flaw Discovered

Horizon.ai published a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit for a Fortinet FortiClient EMS vulnerability that could enable remote code execution (RCE) from threat actors.

After the discovery, Fortinet announced to their customers that the vulnerability is currently exploited in the wild, and will issue pointers on avoiding the risks of the flaw.
