Aqua Security Raises $195M in Series E Funding
Cybersecurity “unicorn” (startup valued over $1B), Aqua Security successfully raised an additional $60M to add to the previously raised $135M, bringing the startup’s total Series E funding to $195M.
Led by Evolution Equity Partners in coordination with previous investors, the Series E funding round will help enhance Aqua’s cloud-native, containerless, and serverless security capabilities.
CISA Warns Google Chrome Users of Open Source Vulnerabilities
In an announcement addressed to US Federal Agencies, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) warned Google Chrome users of a vulnerability (CVE-2023-7101) impacting the web browser’s open-source Perl library.
The Google vulnerability affects an open-source project, Google Chromium WebRTC, which as a result allows threat actors to cause browser crashes and launch other actions.
Xerox Business Solutions Hit by Ransomware Attack
Xerox Holdings Corp. confirmed a data breach as a result of a ransomware attack initiated by the INC Ransom threat actor group.
The ransomware gang claims the theft of sensitive data and confidential documents from Xerox Business Solutions’ systems, which they intend to publish on their dark web website. Xerox stated that they will inform customers of any further damages, and will ensure a secure environment.
