Boeing Discloses $200M Ransomware Attempt

Boeing made a significant disclosure: The LockBit ransomware group targeted the company, which demanded a staggering $200M extortion payment.

Boeing did not pay LockBit a ransom despite 43 GB of company data leaked on the ransomware group’s website in November 2023. Boeing is now in contact with the FBI to mitigate the breach.

US Releases Black Basta Warning After Ascension Hack

As part of a late string of ransomware attacks on healthcare providers, Ascension was hit by a devastating cyber attack that disrupted hospital systems across the US.

As a result, the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) warned about the Black Basta ransomware group, allegedly targeting US critical infrastructure.

Apple Patches iPhone and macOS Security Flaws

Today, May 13th, Apple released a security patch across iPhone and MacOS systems to respond to around 16 vulnerabilities.

The vulnerabilities included risks of bypassing kernel memory protections and issues that could expose mobile users to code execution, data privacy exposures, and system crashes.
