‘INC Ransom’ Group Threatens to Release NHS Data

The ‘INC Ransom’ ransomware group publicly threatened to release three terabytes of NHS Scotland sensitive patient and staff data, after publishing a smaller sample size proving the viability of the threat.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s efforts to prevent the attack from being repeated are underway in collaboration with Police Scotland and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

StealthMole Raises $7M in Series A Funding

StealthMole, an AI-powered dark web intel startup, announced that it raised a $7 million Series A funding round. Korea Investment Partners led the round, which also included Hibiscus Fund and Smilegate Investment.

The Korean cyber startup will use the Series A funding to address the vulnerability gaps of Asia-related threats.

Zero-Day Threats Increase by 50% in 2023

According to Google, the volume of zero-day vulnerabilities increased by 50% from 2022 to 2023.

The data is based on Google’s discovery of 27 zero-day threats in 2023, short of the 2021 record-high 106 detections.
