Bangladeshi ‘Hacktivists’ Threaten Critical Infrastructure

Recent reports have announced threats to critical infrastructure in India, Israel, and Australia as a result of Bangladesh hacktivists. A team of hackers from Bangladesh, motivated by religious and political reasons have been targeting these countries and carried out as many as 750 DDoS attacks over the past year.

MOVEit Attacks Continue to Threaten

In the latest news on MOVEit attacks, Serco, a British transport, defense, and health organization, has been targeted in a MOVEit cyber attack. An article in Bleeping Computer says the company’s US employee data has reportedly been leaked through a MOVEit Transfer exploit.

Cybersecurity Scholarships Awarded

The growing threat of cyberattacks had highlighted a growing need for cybersecurity expertise. The Center for Cyber Safety and Education has announced it has afforded scholarships worth $174,000 to 61 cybersecurity students.
