64% to Look for New Cybersecurity Jobs in the Next 12 Months
According to a new Bitdefender survey, 64% of cybersecurity professionals are considering a shift to a new job in the sector within the next 12 months.
The 2024 Cybersecurity Assessment Report also discovered that 57% of respondents experienced a data breach in the last 12 months, mainly in the UK, Germany, and Singapore.
City of Newburgh Systems Disrupted by Cyber Attack
The City of Newburgh, New York, announced that it could not accept payments for property taxes, water, sewer, and sanitation services, permit fees, and parking tickets due to a system disruption caused by a cyber attack.
The City is now working with cybersecurity and IT experts to investigate the attack and restore the damaged systems.
70% of Asian Social Organizations Are Not Prepared for Cyber Threats
According to a study released by The Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), 70% of organizations in the Asian social sector struggle to mitigate cyber-attacks.
The study also revealed that this is credited to the hurdles of keeping up with technological changes, from lack of resources and access to the right digital infrastructure.
