MGM and Caesars Entertainment come under attack
MGM and Caesars Entertainment have announced hacking attacks by threat actor Scattered Spider.
The group is composed of hackers from the UK and US and authorities have reportedly called the group, ‘one of the most aggressive’ threat actor groups targeting the US.
Reports say the group has demanded a ransom from MGM and successfully paralyzed the systems of the casino operator.
$53 million in cryptocurrency stolen by hackers
Hackers have seized $53 million worth of cryptocurrency from CoinEx.
Hackers violated the site’s hot wallets, taking the cryptocurrency, with CoinEx reassuring that user assets had not been impacted by the incident.
Save The Children targeted in attack
Save The Children has reported that a ransomware gang has stolen 6.8TB of data.
Ransomware gang BianLian has claimed ownership of the attack.
The charity group has said it is strengthening the security of its IT systems following the attack.
