16 Billion Passwords Breached

The Cybernews research team discovered a record-breaking breach of over 16 billion passwords worldwide, including Facebook, Google, and Apple credentials. Cybernews states that this is new data and not merely recycled from older breaches, and the data most likely comes from a wide variety of infostealers.

 

Aflac Confirms Cybersecurity Incident

American insurance company Aflac has confirmed a cybersecurity breach in its system. Aflac disclosed that a “sophisticated cybercrime group” used social‑engineering tactics to potentially steal private data, including Social Security numbers, health, and claims information

 

Australia Ups Cybersecurity on ImmiAccount

The Australian government has announced cybersecurity enhancements to ImmiAccount, the country’s primary visa and immigration systems. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now live on the platform, adding a second layer of protection to log-ins and new account creations.
