$10M Reward for LockBit Mastermind
The U.S. Government launched a manhunt for the LockBit ransomware mastermind, Dmitry Yuryevich Khoroshev, for a bounty worth $10M.
According to the Justice Department, LockBit is suspected to be behind attacks in almost 120 countries that have extorted nearly $1 billion.
Three U.K. Nationals Behind “Evolved Ape” NFT Scam, Arrested
The U.S. Attorney announced the charges against three UK nationals, Mohamed-Amin Atcha, Mohamed Rilazh Waleedh, and Daood Hassan, with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.
Initiated in 2021, the ‘rug pull’ scam led the three individuals to steal an estimated $3M worth of NFTs.
Windows OS PHP Vulnerability Discovered
Security researcher DEVCORE discovered a critical security flaw in all PHP versions of the Windows OS that could lead to remote code execution.
The flaw could have allowed unauthenticated attackers to bypass previous protection sequences, leading to arbitrary code being injected into remote PHP servers. The fix for the vulnerability has been made available on May 7th.
